I bought a front porch sensor light but dont want to go thru the hassle or high electrician fee! Is it possible to connect common/hot %26amp; ground to a standard plug in head to connect to outlet? Or any other way besides tying onto main system? If so how or is it simple to tye on myself? Is it possible to install front porch sensor light without connecting to wire system? There are lights that you don't have to hook up to any wiring. They work usually by a couple of 2AA batteries. I have two by my pool that come on when it gets dark. The batteries are solar and are charged by the sun every day. They have to get at least 6hours of sun each day.Is it possible to install front porch sensor light without connecting to wire system? You can do it yourself. There are instructions in the box.Is it possible to install front porch sensor light without connecting to wire system? There is an adapdable socket which srews in to the socket then the buld screws into the adapter works rather well.

After you have done this, take electrical tape and wrap tightly around the naked wires.
