Well, like any concert I will tell you this-
To prepare, know where you are going. Leave home early to be there on time. Make sure you know where everything is-parking,stage,etc.
Same thing with preparing ahead of time, know where the bathrooms are.
Well it depends on what ticket you got. If there is no seating arranged, push your way to the front-with being nice at the same time. Just walk up to the front. But you should know, when you are at the front, or in a large crowd, know that you have to be tough/strong enough to fight people off if they try to push you or dance roughly around you.
I was in a pitt, an I'm a female that's 5'2'' and I remember getting thrown to the ground. I'm sure you're able to deal with that. I prefer NOT to. Dangerous but over all they are nice people. They don't mean to hurt you. It just happens.
I do not think you need to fear being robbed really. Just make sure you know what you came with and know that you have everything when you leave. Be accountable for your own belongings. Do not leave anything anywhere! I'm assuming you are a male-so you need to buy pants/shorts that have pockets with zippers or something to keep your stuff safe!

3) push urself to the front or jus get there early lol-- and yea u could push urself and say excuse me or something, if they argue or something, ignore them i guess...i usually jus try to go from the side and try to get to a good view and kinda front or jus get there early to not cause problems
4)if u wanna go in then jus mosh, if not then jus push other people to get urself out and as ur pushing, get out too....if ur in the side, then jus put ur hand infront of u with a fist so if the moshers come into u, theyll hit ur hand and automatically go in another direction coz they no u dont wanna be hit unless theyre dochebags and if they r then jus push them
5) not really, everyone jus rocks out, moshes adn doesnt think abt that stuff BUT i would keep them in a closed pocket, or a bagpack or something coz they can fall out without u knowing nad itll be hard to get them if they do coz there will be sooo many people
6) not really...jus have fun nad u might get hurt but dont worry too much...if ur goin to a deathcore show, then DONT get into a moshpit and stay away from big people lol unless ur big or can fight or something..if not then stay close to the front and near girls always...never stand in the middle coz thats where the moshing happens and hte back jus ruins the concert

people take pisses where ever when ever which brings me to a warning-no one wants to miss good metal (especially when it's so rare in these days) so they try to savor every moment of the concert IN the concert-so watch where you walk and mosh, because people will piss on you if they're either, drunk, stoned, or too caught up in the music
you almost can't get in front unless you come VERY early and wait in front (if you do this, bring all the rum and cocaine you'll need because it's NOT worth leaving your spot if you get it for ANYTHING) but if you come too late and you're about in the middle, you can always one-man-mosh your way to the front
you survive the pit by kicking the sh*t out of every one else before they have the chance to do it to you, and by thrashing in the pit to the beat of the music
keep wallets and cell phones in your front pockets (just leave cell phones at home or in car if you'll be moshing) and you should be good enough
and all you need to know is how to have fun and headbang really good (which is always really good as long as you're doing it for the metal)

You know how to dress yourself right? ... If you have a pair of steel capped shoes I suggest you wear them, I used to wear regular shoes and kept getting my feet hurt by people stepping on them in the pit, now with my steel caps they can step on my feet all they want and it doesn't hurt, if you don't have steel capped shoes though it's no big deal, I just wear them because I go to concerts regularly.
Where do people take pisses?
Umm, in the toilet???
How to get in the front?
Before they start playing you have move through the crowd politely, you know, say %26quot;excuse me%26quot; and stuff, but once they start playing you're safe to push your way through, I almost never get to the front though, I'm always about 3 or 4 bodies back, it's close enough.
How to survive the pitt?
avoid the guys who are fighting invisible ninjas, I like playing human pin ball machine though, you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

put your wallet on a chain if your worried, but with the phone I'd be more worried about it getting broken, put it in your bag, and put your bag in the cloak room, if you need to make a call go to the cloak room and get it, as for people getting robbed, I've never seen or heard of it happening, at least not at any of the shows I've been to.
Any other things I need to know?
don't worry about falling over in the pit, you won't get stomped on, there's an unwritten law that you have to help people who have fallen over, it's suppose to be fun after all.

the cloak room is attended by staff, patrons aren't allowed in there, that's why it's a safe place to leave your things, they give you a token with a number on it, and you exchange the token for your bag or jacket at the end of the night.
This is of course assuming they have a cloak room, which most places do.
