The board went out of my unit and it was acting just like yours is; not spinning out, spinning really slow. Of course, this was 1 month out of the extended warranty but I called Maytag and they stepped up and took care of the issue including the service call.
If it is the main board (and only a service person can tell you for sure), it will probably be cheaper to buy a new washer. Last I heard, those board were running between $600 - $800.How to fix a maytag neptune front loading washer? It could be a few of different issues. First off, put the unit in spin and start it. Does the door lock? If not then you probably need a new control board and wax motor. If it locks then you may have a drain problem. Check if the drain hose is clogged or kinked then check to see if you have anything in the coin trap (if the unit has one). The third possibility is that the pressure switch that measures the amount of water in the machine is malfunctioning. These machines won't spin if they detect a significant amount of water in the tub or the door isn't locked.
