How do I get male cat spray smell out of my front porch?

My cat is an indoors cat and he hasn't gotten %26quot;snipped%26quot; yet,and everytime I open the front door to leave I think he must get a wiff of outside and then he sprays my front door on the inside!!! I don't think it's everyday he does this but when I get home from work I open my front door and right away all I can smell is cat pee, that's so disgusting! How do I get male cat spray smell out of my front porch? There's only one product i know of the permanently removes cat odor, cleans and disinfects all in one.... Odo-Ban... you've just been introduced to your new best friend. Depending on how badly the area has been sprayed, you may have to treat the area two-three times but it really does work .... breaks down the enzymes and kills the bacteria that cause the odor. One thing I really like about this stuff is that it leaves a strong eucalyptis scent which some cats don't particularly care for and will avoid. Good for breaking a habit or one from forming. The key though is to completely obliterate the odor or little man will return to do more.

On spraying behavior in general.... you need to get your little man neutered ASAP. Spraying behavior is primarily to mark territory and advertise for mating purposes. It usually starts around puberty. It's a very hard habit for dudes to break, but neutering a male makes it less important to him. I haven't had a single male habitually spray if neutered before puberty.... don't put it off.

If the habit has already formed, then you need to be vigilant and catch him in the act. Scolding, startling and punishment afterwards does no good at all. Cats live purely in the moment. A good technique is to keep a few coins in a glass jar and rattle the jar to startle the dude when you see the sniffing, backing around and tail jerking motions starting. You've got to get him to associate spraying behavior with something unpleasant and/or startling.

Good luck and find a store with odo-ban in your area. I get it in jugs of concentrate from Sam's Club. How do I get male cat spray smell out of my front porch?Natures miracle is the way to go . Use it full strength in a spray bottle. It works great......................we just finished house breaking our puppy. We've used a gallon of it!!!!!How do I get male cat spray smell out of my front porch?Use a combination of lemon scented dish soap mixed with a lemon lime soda (like Sprite or 7-up) and a tsp baking soda. mix the ingredients in a garden sprayer and spray down your door. If your door is wood make sure you dry the wood. Then I would suggest you get him snipped, because if a stray male cat gets his scent he may come and spray as well and then you'll never be done with it.
