How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?

I understand she's a hunter but is there a trick to keep her from chomping on chipmunks in say the garden and not at the front door? I wake up to a kill zone. How to keep the cat from front door kill returns? This is a very high honor. She's showing her worth and your status as her leader. Frankly, keeping her indoors is really the soundest advice you are going to hear. A cat kept indoors lives on average 3 years longer than an outdoor or partially outdoor cat. I hope that you have at least kept her current on PRCC+C, FeLV and Rabies vaccinations; as well as a flea/tick preventative. If you're not willing to keep her indoors, you can try putting a breakaway collar on her with a bell. This will dampen the amount of prey she's able to capture because of the noise. How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?Don't let her outside. Indoor cats are more healthy and clean. Letting a cat outside is a good way to get her hurt or killed or stolen. Plus you have to deal with the dead animals. How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?OMG and some of you people think us who keep our cats indoors are nuts. !!!'

If this isn't a reason I don't know what is.How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?lol I'm not sure what the trick is, but I can attempt to make beauty of your situation

You're cat is bringing that back to you because she loves you.

To animals, that is a repayment to you. To them, they're providing your supper. How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?Hugh...i hate that same thing with mine only she kills snakes. Make a miny fence and put it on the morch to keep her off the porch while she is out.How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?Don't ever scold her for it. Those kills are actually gifts for you. Seriously....How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?ur cat is trying to give u a gift...lol yeah i had a cat that did that all the time but u realy cant do anything about it. ur ca is trying to be nice so dont punish at himHow to keep the cat from front door kill returns?I keep my cats inside now but I didn't always. There is a reason they do this behavior. The cat sees you as someone they love and is bringing you a gift. Mine used to line up the bodies on the door mat with the heads missing. It is gross I agree and she will probably keep doing it if you let her outside. Female cats especially do this. If they have kittens this is a way for the kittens to learn about what they can and can not eat. She is a natural born hunter. A pretty good one apparently. LOLHow to keep the cat from front door kill returns?Your cat is just ''giving'' you a ''meal''. Some cats kill small animals and give them to you, they think you'll eat it and that they are ''serving'' you. One of mine do that, ya can't really stop it!How to keep the cat from front door kill returns?Dear Wampum15,

These folks are right - when dead things end up on your doorstep (or on your bed pillow) these are gifts from them to you. %26quot;Look what I did for you because you are so good to me. Here, enjoy!%26quot; They don't know any better and since we can't speak %26quot;cat%26quot;, you'll have to have to maybe keep a pail by the door to deposit these trophies into it when kitty isn't looking. Regardless of how frightful and disgusting it is to wake to a carcass on your doorstep, it really is a term of endearment. Whomever it was bove that said not to scold the cat, they were right. You don't want to do that. How to keep the cat from front door kill returns? She is bringing you her kill, the ultimate compliment from a cat. She doesn't realize you think it is gross.

lol, don't know what to tell you.

EDIT:

I have indoor only cats, for all the reasons you were given. However, if you have an outdoor cat, it would be cruel to now force her to stay inside. She would hate it. It is one thing to raise them to be indoor cats, and another to jail them after they have experienced freedom.
