What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores?

I have to pass out pamphlets about the hormone rGBH (for a school project), which is used in cows to make them produce more milk, but may have some adverse health effects on humans... We plan on passing out pamphlets about the hormone on in front of grocery stores that carry milk with it; the pamphlets wont discourage people from shopping at those stores, but will encourage them to buy non-rGBH treated milk at those stores.

So, how far away from the stores do we need to be?What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores?Don't listen to rickinnocal. There's a reason just about every industrialized country except the US has banned rGBH, isn't there? It's a bit suspicious when the FDA says something is safe and the corresponding agency in 15 other countries says it isn't. The FDA is basically run by the drug companies these days.

But anyway, you can do one of two things:

Remain on public property (on a public street) and do it without permission as long as you follow city guidelines

or do it in the shopping center (including the parking lot) with permission of the center owner (which is different from the store owner)What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores?Let's just say ingesting perfectly good milk produced from cows using rGBH is safe for human consumption. Cows injected with this hormone are more prone to mastitus and are usually only able to live for 2-2.5 years because of the harm it does to the cow. Is that fair?

What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores?Need to check with the store manager. Stores are on private property, so getting permission is imperative.

The store manager should be able to tell you who the owner of the shopping center is, also. You should gt permission from them.

They will appreciate you requesting permission rather than just walking up onto their property and assuming you %26quot;have a right%26quot; to be there. What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores? You will have to be on public property, such as a sidewalk, off the store property, and in some instances you will need to obtain a permit to solicit there. You will need to check with your town/city govt to find out for sure whether or not permits are needed. As far as handing them to people walking into the store, I dont think you'll end up close enough to the doors for that. What are guidelines for passing out pamphlets in front of stores? For a school project ?????????

Your teacher should be fired INSTANTLY.

There is NO legitimate scientific controversy at all about the use of rGBH to increase milk production. The stuff's been tested six ways to Tuesday in half the countries in the world with NO negative effects of any type ever proven.

Opposition is from a few anti-science Luddites stirring up rubbish for their own reasons.

If you, as an individual, want to buy into this nonsense, then you are entitled to do so - but a school has NO BUSINESS promoting it.

Your school is supposed to be educating you - that should include giving you the skills to exercise the sort of critical thinking that would let you evaluate these ridiculous claims yourself, and dismiss them - not indoctrinating you into some wacky enviro-nut conspiracy theory.

To answer the legal question, though, as long as you're on public property, and are not blocking foot traffic, obstructing the store entrances, or littering, it's legal.

(And that is something ELSE that your school should be teaching you instead of wasting time pushing %26quot;voodoo science%26quot;)
