How to stop a pendulum hitting glass front?

I have a wall clock, which has a small glass at the front. It is an old one which winds up.The pendulum itself is hitting the glass on it movement to%26amp;fro. How do i adjust this please. A MILLION thanks in advance. How to stop a pendulum hitting glass front?fytp has given you a good start. But there are some additional considerations. In all:

a) Is the clock hanging vertically?

b) Is the movement within the case attached properly and also straight?

c) Is the pendulum rod straight (centered in the crutch wire loop)?

d) Does it tick evenly?

Ideally, the clock should tick evenly and the pendulum rod should be centered in the crutch loop (the wire attached to the verge). Achieving this may be a combination of adjusting the movement within the case and then adjusting how the case hangs on the wall either by packing out the bottom or tilting it slightly from vertical so that it ticks evenly.

Good luck with it.How to stop a pendulum hitting glass front?really hard to say as I cannot see it but is your clock flat against the wall and is your wall vertical and true you may need to apply packers etc behind clock to get pendulum to swing freelyHow to stop a pendulum hitting glass front?Shim the bottom front out.How to stop a pendulum hitting glass front?Place a level on the wall and see if it is Plumb (vertically level). Pendulums hang straight down, so if the clock is not plumb, this is the results. You may need to install some shim material near the bottom of the clock case.
