How can I get myself to speak in front of others?

When I get in front of people, or even before giving a speech. I don't get the usual sweaty hands, or the voice problem, I really don't feel nervous. However, it seems when I get in front of a class every time, my neck starts to tense up. As if someone is trying to choke me.



Is there anyway for me to ease up on that, or what can I do?How can I get myself to speak in front of others?Hey Penny, it is only natural to feel any kind of weird symptoms during public speaking. As in most cases, speech nervousness can manifest in many ways. If the problem with your neck doesn't affect your performance, it probably doesn't require much attention. However, if you feel you are under performing, you can try certain techniques to help you relax. Progressive Muscle Relaxation is something you might want to try. Before the next time you speak try intentionally tensing your neck as hard as you can and then relax it.

Don't worry about people disagreeing, just talk to them persuasively and talk as if they are young children needing to be informed.
