I'd like to put a small design on the front of a foam-front trucker hat, but I worry that embroidering by hand with thread and needle would shred the foam. Doing a sharpie design is also right-out. I want something permanent with a somewhat quality look.

all the bestHow do I embroider a design on the front of a foam trucker hat?Use 2 or 3 layers of stabilizer or sew-in interfacing on the inside of the cap, then you should be able to stitch either by hand or by machine - stitch through the cap and all the layers of stabilizer. Just make sure the stitches don't pull real tight. When your stitching is done, trim the stabilizer or interfacing from around it, leaving about 1/8%26quot; or so border around your design.
